Community Engagement Committee

Welcome to the Community Engagement Committee

The AAWTA (African American Women in Trucking Association) Community Engagement Committee plays a crucial role in nurturing a strong sense of sisterhood among its members and creating an inclusive and supportive community. This committee is dedicated to fostering educational growth and empowerment among African American women in the trucking industry. They achieve this through various means, including peer support, community engagement, and educational initiatives, which collectively enhance both personal and professional aspects of their lives.

The primary focus of the Community Engagement Committee revolves around outreach, forming partnerships, and organizing events. These efforts are aimed at strengthening connections within the AAWTA community, offering support to members, and driving positive changes within the organization and trucking com

Our Mission

At African American Women Trucking Association, our mission is to provide shelter and support to homeless individuals in our community. We believe that everyone deserves a safe and comfortable place to call home, and we work tirelessly to make that a reality.

Our Programs

We offer a variety of programs to help our clients get back on their feet. From job training to mental health counseling, we provide the resources and support necessary to help individuals achieve their goals.

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We offer a variety of opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
