Nicole Ward | President/CEO

 

Nicole Ward, President and Co-Founbd of “AAWTA” and a prominent public figure and philanthropist. Her innovation expertise and co-founding role in establishing the African American Women in Trucking Association (AAWTA), demonstrates a strong commitment to uplifting African American women and women of color in the trucking industry, Nicole's leadership extends to her influential position on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Women of Trucking Advisory Board (WOTAB). Her advocacy efforts drive positive changes in logistics, showcasing unwavering support for inclusivity and representation, ultimately enhancing AAWTA's impact.

Amoni Witcher

 Amoni Witcher serves on the Advisory Board of the African American Women Trucking Association (AAWTA), where she plays a key role in supporting governance, compliance, and strategic planning to strengthen the organization’s impact. In addition to her advisory leadership, Amoni is also a Certified Instructor for AAWTA, training students in dispatching and logistics. Her dual role allows her to guide both organizational development and education, ensuring that AAWTA continues to empower members through quality instruction and strong governance practices.

Donna's hands-on experience as a professional (CDL) driver in the industry coupled with her innovative business strategies enrich AAWTA's mission, making her a pivotal figure in driving the association's success and enhancing its impact within the trucking community.

Dr. Sheila ensures that AAWTA’s platforms—from its education portals to its compliance systems—are secure, efficient, and scalable to support growth. Her expertise bridges technology with workforce development, enabling AAWTA to deliver accessible digital learning, data-driven solutions, and sustainable tools that empower members and partners across the trucking and logistics industry.
