The 2025 Youth Summer Workforce Development Apprenticeship Program, hosted at the AAWTA Power Hub in partnership with workforce (DeKalb County), provided youth ages 16–20 with meaningful exposure to high-demand careers and essential professional skill development.
Through this collaborative initiative, participants engaged in hands-on learning, paid summer work experience, and mentorship designed to introduce them to the trucking, logistics, supply chain, business, and technology sectors.
Students participated in 8–12 weeks of workforce training, gaining real-world skills in the program track of their choice—ranging from supply chain and logistics operations to trucking-industry career pathways.
By delivering comprehensive training and workforce readiness opportunities at the AAWTA Power Hub, this program advanced our shared mission to empower youth, strengthen community pathways, and create equitable access to education and opportunity.
Together, AAWTA and DeKalb County are shaping the next generation of leaders and skilled professionals in trucking and logistics.
