AAWTA is excited to announce a partnership with Zeta Driving School, a nationally accredited and top-ranked Trucking School provider,, to provide a life-changing opportunity through “The Power to Drive Change” Scholarship.
We believe in empowering African American women and fostering their growth and success in traditionally male-dominated industries, and sincerely appreciate our education partner aligning with AAWTA, and working together to make this happen.
This scholarship aims to support (10) dedicated and ambitious AAWTA members in their journey toward becoming professional truck drivers.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. AAWTA Members Only: Only current members of the African American Women Trucking Association are eligible to participate in "The Power to Drive Change Scholarship". If you are not yet a member, you can join AAWTA by completing the membership registration process before the contest deadline.
Application Process:
2. Application Submission: To apply for the scholarship, you must submit a (500) word Min essay or a 3-5 min video
3. Deadline: The deadline for submissions is December 31.2023.
Late submissions will, not be accepted, so be sure to submit your essay on or before the specified deadline.

This transformative program seeks to address the barriers and challenges faced by African-American women in the trucking profession and create opportunities for their advancement while providing mentorship to support their journey.
To amplify the impact of this initiative, the African American Women's Trucking Association has formed a strategic partnership with a renowned Education Partner in the transportation industry and Recruiting Services, an efficient and reliable transportation recruiting solution in the trucking industry.
Through this collaboration, the Power of Change Initiative will award educational scholarships specifically tailored to Black women pursuing careers in trucking.
The Power to Drive Change Initiative will provide the following:

These scholarships encompass tuition, training materials, and more, enabling unhindered pursuit of dreams for both current and aspiring truck drivers.

Empowering women to excel, enhances their industry worth, enables better earnings, and propels them toward career milestones, supplying essential resources.
